LexAi ("the App", "we", "our") is a mobile vocabulary-learning application built on .NET MAUI for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
By using LexAi, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the App.
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service:
Email address and authentication token provided via Auth0 during sign-up or login.
Words, translations, groups, and learning progress you create in the App.
Images you submit for text recognition. Text is extracted on your device (Google ML Kit on Android, Apple Vision on iOS). If you use photo word import, the image itself is also sent to OpenAI to identify vocabulary in it. Images are not stored on our servers.
Audio for word import via voice. Transcribed by OpenAI Whisper API and not retained.
Anonymous event data (sessions, feature usage) to improve the App experience. On our public website we additionally use Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica, which record page views and interactions such as clicks and scrolling — see Section 04.
OS version and device model for crash diagnostics and compatibility.
Your data is used exclusively for:
Before any of your learning content is sent to OpenAI, the app asks for your permission and tells you what will be sent. You can decline, and you can change the choice at any time under Settings → Data & AI. If you decline, the AI features are switched off and the rest of the app keeps working.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
LexAi integrates several third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica run on our public website only (this page and the landing pages) — they are not present in the mobile app. Yandex Metrica processes its data on servers located in the Russian Federation.
Your vocabulary data and account information are retained for as long as you maintain an active account. Voice recordings and photos used for import are processed in real time and not stored on our servers.
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

LexAi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided data without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
